Repointing & Masonry Protection

Deteriorated joints were carefully raked out and repointed using a traditional lime mortar mix. Lime mortar was selected for breathability and compatibility with older masonry.

After curing, Stormdry masonry protection cream was applied to improve resistance to penetrating damp and weather exposure, helping protect both structure and appearance.

Shed Base Construction

This project shows two shed bases built for long-term stability. Each area was machine-excavated to depth and prepared with a compacted Type 1 sub-base.

Timber shuttering formed clean edges before concrete was poured and levelled to create a durable base ready for installation.

Blockwork Retaining Wall (Before & After)

These images show one retaining wall before and after rebuild works. The wall was rebuilt in solid blockwork to provide long-term structural support.

Drainage provisions and damp-proof coating were added to the rear face to reduce hydrostatic pressure, limit water penetration and improve service life.

Footings

This series shows full preparation of a concrete footing for a retaining wall. The trench was excavated to specification to create a solid, level base.

Steel rebar mesh reinforcement was added to improve strength and load-bearing performance before the footing was poured.

Retaining Wall Rebuild & Repair

This project covers a full retaining wall rebuild, including structural repairs and final finish work. The sequence shows the wall before, during and after works once it was made safe, stable and visually consistent with the surrounding brickwork.

Sub-Floor Joist Replacement

Internal flooring was lifted to access and replace damaged sub-floor joists. The sequence shows before, during and after stages once the structure was stabilised and prepared for final finish flooring.

Loft Boarding Installation

Raised loft boarding was installed using Loft Legs to keep boards above existing insulation. This preserves airflow and avoids insulation compression.

Moisture-resistant tongue-and-groove boards were used to create a durable, stable storage platform.
